My research interests and activities are concentrated on the study of ultrafast electron dynamics, triggered by ionization of molecules, in the presence of a laser field, and their follow-up coupling to the slower nuclear motion.

Currently, I am working on the development of a methodology allowing to treat ab initio the concerted electron-nuclear dynamics in molecules taking into account the non-adiabatic effects. The ultimate goal is to be able to fully describe charge-directed reactivity phenomena in small peptide chains and propose schemes for their control by specifically tailored laser pulses.
